Open Minds, Open Hearts: Our Final Days in Tanzania

Greetings… from home!

Thank you for praying and interceding on our behalf. Wayne Tesoriero, my travel partner, and I have concluded a very busy 2+ weeks in Africa.

Tanzania…
“Open Minds and Open Hearts” marked the people of Tanzania. We left Africa believing as though we had poured out our lives as ambassadors for Jesus.  Like Kenya and Uganda prior, the people were warm, hospitable, and open to the Holy Spirit. We had deep times of teaching that wrapped up on the last day with us praying for over 300 people for the impartation of His presence, His gifts, and His callings over their lives. The hunger for more of Jesus was often so apparent that it left me feeling very inadequate but richly blessed to have had an open door into their lives.

When we walk with Jesus, there are times God takes us on journeys that offer very little understanding of what is actually taking place, and yet you know that you were in the palm of His hand and that He is directing your steps.

I think that would be an apt description of my trip to Africa. I knew where I was supposed to be and I obeyed and said, “send me”. While I was there the Lord showed up, as He always does, and did amazing things… and yet I would be less than honest if I said that I understood all that was taking place.

There were supernatural moments when we saw people receive healing and were touched deeply by the love and power of the Holy Spirit. There were impactful spiritual moments with God when I was teaching, and you could feel His Word and touch flowing into the hearts of hungry people.

Then there were other times when people responded at life-changing deep levels, and you weren’t really sure why or what exactly was happening inside of them. Maybe a part of that is cultural, but I also believe a large part of it was spiritual. Jesus tells us that the kingdom of God is often a great secret and operates quietly in ways that we have little understanding.

I witnessed the outcome when leaders from several different countries invited me to come to Congo, or Ethiopia, as well as other countries in Africa to minister to their people. I was blessed by their hearts and their kindness.

So much of this took place because of Holy Spirit driven prayer. Thank you for interceding and for standing with me in this journey and for making a difference in the continent of Africa. I am currently scheduled to return to Africa in just over two months… the first week of May. That’s a little hard for me to get my head around right now as you can imagine. The jet lag certainly zaps one’s energy for a time, but I trust that the Lord will make it happen if it is in His timing and His will for me to be there.

Again, thank you so much for supporting this ministry both financially and prayerfully.

Blessings,
Pastor Dan
