Spiritual Gifts | Part Four

What do you do when God asks you to pray for someone and you're afraid of looking foolish? In part four of our Spiritual Gifts series, Pastor Dan Carroll continues through 1 Corinthians 12 with three more of the miraculous gifts: healings, miracles, and prophecy.

Dan shares stories from decades of ministry, including 800 Nigerian widows and cloth that wouldn't run out, a 91-year-old woman who was prayed for on her deathbed, and a phone call with an old friend that led to repentance and a fresh touch of God's grace. He also draws on Jesus' encounter at the pool of Bethesda and Peter's "nevertheless" moment on the lake.

In this message:

  • Why the Bible calls it the "gifts of healings" (plural), and why you're the delivery person, not the healer

  • Why praying for the sick is worth the risk, even when you don't know how God will answer

  • What Jesus meant by "Do you want to be made well?" and how pain can become our identity

  • Why miracles are born of faith, not fear, and why asking is the law of the kingdom

  • How prophecy works in the New Testament, and why it's different from the Old Testament

  • A healthy way to share and receive a prophetic word: encouragement, not "thus says the Lord"
